Stonebridge

Stonebridge, one of Saskatoon’s newest developments is a mixed-use neighbourhood located to the south of Circle Drive, to the east of Clarence Avenue and to the west of Highway 11. When complete, Stonebridge will be one of the largest neighbourhood developments on Saskatoon’s east side.

The north end of the neighbourhood is largely retail services including Stonegate Shopping Centre, a “big-box” shopping centre and offices. There are also plans for development of a hotel in the area. For the most part, the remaining area will be dedicated to residential use including a mix of single-family detached homes, town home and apartments.

Residential development in the area began in late 2005 and the first home sale recorded on the Saskatoon MLS was in February of 2006. Stonebridge has grown at a rapid pace since that time, but there is very little data available for analysis.

The area plan calls for a total of eight public park spaces across the area offering over one hundred acres of green space.

There are currently no schools in the Stonebridge area. Students enrolled in both the public and catholic school system are taken by bus to schools in neighbouring communities, courtesy of their respective boards.
