Adelaide Churchill

Primarily a residential area, Adelaide Churchill was born in the 1990’s when the City of Saskatoon redrew its neighbourhood boundaries combining Adelaide Park and Churchill into one area.

Development originally began shortly after World War II in the Churchill (north) portion of the area, which eventually became home to Saskatoon’s first shopping mall, the Churchill Shopping Centre. Today, Adelaide Churchill’s proximity to Circle Drive makes travelling to downtown Saskatoon a breeze. Market Mall and the Stonegate Shopping Centre are also easily accessible by car.

Children living in the Adelaide Churchill community attend either Saint Philip School in the catholic system or Hugh Cairns VC School in the public system. Both schools offer a kindergarten through grade 8 curriculum.

The area is home to three beautiful parks. Between them, area residents enjoy baseball, basketball, skateboarding, soccer, tobogganing, several playgrounds, a municipal paddling pool and an abundance of walking paths.

The Adelaide Churchill area is supported by a community association that offers a number of programs in the spring and fall.

We have lived in this neighbourhood for 9 years. We now have two small children and love that we can walk or bike to an outdoor swimming pool, several spray parks, paddling pools and a public library. In addition, we have a grocery store in walking distance and a HUGE yard. This is a terrific family orientated neighbourhood!
